All existing clients will be offered Unlimited cPanel Hosting. Make sure to use the same information that is on the credit
card/PayPal account that you used for your last payment. Also make sure
to select the correct payment method of your last payment during signup
so we know where to look. Please do not pay the invoice as we will mark
it paid and setup your account as soon as we verify your payment
information.
All billing dates will be set to August 1st. If you are on a
different billing term other than monthly we will set the next billing
date to the 1st of the next full month of your term expiration. If you
had an account credit balance please open a ticket with the Billing
department and we will get the credit re-applied to your account.
If you have any questions please open a ticket in the appropriate department after completing the signup.
We will replay ASAP.
Update 6/29 - 6:00AM EST:
Clients that have registered domains with us and need access to manage them please send an email to domains[@]usmanbiz.com
We will setup a seperate account/area for you to manage your
domains from. Please make sure to include your name and any payment
information including the email address you had on record with us at
the time you registered the domain.
Update 6/28 - 3:30AM EST:
We have completed setup of all cluster nodes and working on the client area/portal.
Sorry for the delays. We are doing our very best to ensure there
wont be any further issues. We have setup two seperate Raid-10 arrays.
One array will be used only for backup and the other for user home
directories. We will now be keeping weekly backups of all accounts with
the option to upgrade to daily. This is to ensure that we no longer
have the single point of failure and that we will not have this issue
in the future.
We will be placing links to the packages on the UsmanBiz.com home page
once the portal is online. An invoice will be generated from the order
and we will update the invoice as paid and setup your account as soon
as the information is verified. Please make sure that you only select
the services that you had previously so that setup of your account is
not further delayed. Please also make sure you do not pay this invoice.
We will not be accepting new clients at this time. Those of you
that have been monitoring this situation that are not clients please do
not place orders and further disrupt this situation.
We have lost a lot of time, money, and most likely clients because
of this situation. We apologize for any related losses that our clients
have had as well. We assure you we have done our very best to make sure
that this does not happen in the future.
Update 6/27 - 6:00AM EST:
We have been and will continue to work on getting the cluster nodes
and temporary client portal online.
The data is a complete loss. All attempts to recover data from the
drives has failed. The only option is to restore any backups that our
clients have available.
We have been looking through the workstations here for any backups
of the UsmanBiz site and have not found any. So the only course of action
is to have clients re-signup. Then we will manually search through
payment history to get the services setup as they were.
Initial Message 6/25 11:00AM EST:
Hello,
This is the only message that I will be sending out during this
time. As some of you know the disk array for the cluster became corrupt
after a failure of the Raid controller. We have replaced the disks and
the originals have been sent out to a 3rd party to recover any data
that they can. At this point it is not looking good. There were 8 1TB
disks with almost 2TB of data that has been lost. This includes our own
site and the backups as we did not download the updated backups of our
own site before this happened.
We will be setting up a temporary site to start taking orders from
clients. After we have verified your payment history with our credit
card processor or PayPal we will manually setup your account. Billing
dates will be set to August 1st unless you have a different payment
term. If you paid quarterly, biannually, or annually we will set the
billing date to the 1st of the next full month after your payment was
made.
After your account is created you may upload your backups to your
home directory and submit a support ticket. Our support team will
restore any backups that you have.
